2/10 Poor

Just wanted to echo another a review below that also pointed out some of the red flags that we saw. When we first booked the hotel from the pictures we thought we were getting a modern clean and great stay for the price. But after seeing the lobby, the hallways, and the room itself we were really disturbed by the state everything was left in. there were stains everywhere on the walls, doors, hallway, carpets, and bedsheets. The state of so many things looked extremely rundown that we didn’t even want to see another room in the hotel, but opted to stay a night in Wakayama instead.

Old, smelly and dirty
Your hotel was the dirtiest place I’ve ever been to… and I’ve been to Detroit. that says a lot. I won’t recommend it to anyone.

Vintage 70’s/60’s style, lots of activities and literally right next to the beach. The hotel hasn’t had a fix up in a very long time, it needs some maintenance and a large portion of the roof just to the right of my room fell off and landed on the roof adjacent to my room and debris landed in the onsen.

Excellent location and comfortable stay.
The staff was friendly without being overbearing. The beds were extremely comfortable, and the room was enormous! The location was perfect, right across the street from the beach, and near many restaurants.
The only thing to be aware of is that it is a older hotel. Aside from the beds, it does not have any modern sense of luxury. It does not seem shabby in any way and is kept very clean. The walls are quite thin, so if you are sensitive to noise that might be worth noting.
On a note that is just FYI: the private onsen pool connected to the room must have had the water pumped directly from the source because it was too hot to enter, and needed cold water to be added for quite some time before it was a tolerable temperature.
