Place is pretty great but it's not for everybody. If you're a single or it's you and a friend and you're both pretty social then this might work out. Everyone is pretty friendly for the most part but do keep in mind it's ~8 people in a single bedroom. Everyone's got different body clocks and alarms they have to wake up to so people do get up in the night/early hours and turn on the lights to go to the bathroom, get up early for work, etc etc.
Not a place for: light sleepers, people who physically don't fit in twin sized bunk beds/hate bunk beds, clean freaks, and people who haven't experienced what a dorm is like before.
It's great for $30/night though. You're 10 minutes away from SF and in a safe neighborhood. It's somewhat better than a more expensive motel, if you can stand other people and give up a bit of privacy.
