I had booked a room for the 4th of July two weeks prior to the date. I got a confirmation email that I had secured a room. The 4th came around and my friends and I got to the hotel around 5:00 PM (an hour after check in). We walked up to the desk and gave them the name of the reservation. After that he seemed to be typing on the computer, then he was talking to the other woman at the desk and they started arguing. I overheard them talking about not having a room. Eventually the man told us the room was not ready. He gave us no other information. When we didn’t just walk away he said we could get the key, then come back in an hour after it was cleaned. When we asked if it would be done in an hour he told us there was no guarantee. We told him that was not acceptable and we would need some compensation. He told us there was nothing he could do for us. Then he told us a few minutes later that there were no rooms available for the night. I told him he needed to give us a room since we had booked it and payed for it in advance. Throughout all of this he was giving us attitude and getting frustrated with us. Then eventually he pulled out 4 room keys and told us to go down the hall to our room. As we were walking to our room, a lady who had just checked in came out of her room and said that she has found someone else already in her room. I felt that he wasn’t taking us seriously since we are younger. I’m very disappointed and this experience left a bad taste in my mouth.
