I stayed at the hotel recently and unfortunately had a disappointing experience with the parking and staff attitude. I prepaid online for parking, but when I arrived the underground car park was completely full. If the hotel cannot guarantee a space, guests shouldn’t be charged in advance. I ended up having to park in the set-down area, and was still charged the full parking fee despite not being able to use the actual underground parking I paid for.
I rang reception to explain the issue and to ask if there were any alternative parking options, as the car park was so congested that cars were getting stuck with no proper way around. The receptionist I spoke to was not particularly helpful. What made the situation worse was that when he hung up the phone, my husband—who happened to be standing at reception—saw him make a face and a rude gesture, clearly showing he viewed my call as an inconvenience. This was extremely unprofessional and left a very poor impression.
Overall, the parking situation and the attitude from staff were disappointing and not what I would expect from a hotel of this standard
