Beautiful mountain views
Beautiful Mountain views. Backyard area to sit and enjoy the quiet. Rooms were rustic and comfortable. Dinner and breakfast at lodge were good. Friendly staff.

Good experience overall
The staff are all super nice. We saw the auora borials. They lit a fire pit and had gas heaters on the patio. It was a good place to stop before advancing to Anchorage to fly home. But, the room #8 has a bad odor (probably the carpet), and the shower needs a new shower-head as it was all clogged and spraying in different directions.

Great lodge in stunning location. Rooms are spacious and clean, and while they are not the most modern (this is rural Alaska), they are warm, comfortable and staff is just great. Would visit here again as views from the lodge are also amazing!

The lodge was such an unexpected, wonderful surprise. It’s small and it’s rustic, but the staff and management are incredibly friendly and thoughtful, which makes the experience feel warm and welcoming if you’re a solo traveler like I was. And that’s without even getting to the food. Dinner was fantastic. I had the salmon in a lemon buerre blanc sauce with roasted asparagus. It was ridiculously good. I sent photos of it to family and friends to brag about how good the food was. After dinner I sat in one of the Adirondack chairs on the lawn, taking in the spectacular view and mentally planning an excuse to come back.

Comfortable room and great views
Main lodge very comfortable. Room we had was in a separate building with a communal areas and kitchen. Room quite small but fine for a one night stay. Restaurant with set meal on site. Good food but very expensive, felt as if we were a “captive audience”. Great location and views.

What first struck me when we arrived at this cozy mountain lodge was how every staff member we met was smiling and cheerful. They clearly love their jobs, or at the very least, love where they are doing their jobs. The property is lovingly maintained, the meals are tasty and very filling, and again, the staff are so friendly! Majestic Valley Lodge is located a short drive from the view of the Matanuska Glacier, but the views of the valley are fabulous right from the porch of the lodge.

Beautiful view of Mountains, lots of hikng trails. Most of staff friendly and helpful. Just one person, the first person we met at checkout was not helpful and did not inform us of all that was available to us as guests. The outdoor hot tub was wonderful!

Beautiful property and setting. Meal and drinks good. We stayed in Moose, which is beautiful and well appointed. It was very noisy. We could hear the people downstairs at night. When a door closed it echoed loudly throughout the building. Need to do something about the acoustics. Beautiful facility and view.

Quiet area but if you stay in the lodge the rooms are extremely noisy and you can hear everyone walking or talking within your area. It’s pretty much like staying in a small bedroom with a bathroom.

The budget room was acceptable; the view from the porch of the lodge more than made up for it. Not enough people staying to open the kitchen. Staff were all very helpful and welcoming.
