Upon arrival at the hotel around 9:00 p.m., I went to the restaurant to have dinner. I sat for over an hour without being served either food or drinks. During this time, several other guests left the restaurant visibly upset due to the same lack of service. When I approached the reception desk to ask for an explanation, the receptionist told me that there was “a problem with the chef” and added that I could go eat somewhere else if I wanted, saying I had no reason to complain.
When I requested a complaint form, she said that she didn’t have any. A few minutes later, the restaurant manager came out and, instead of apologizing, started shouting at me in front of other people.
I then had to leave the hotel, pay for a taxi, and buy food outside. When I returned at around 10:11 p.m., both the receptionist and the restaurant manager were standing at the front desk. As I walked past carrying my food bag, they both laughed at me mockingly. I turned around and said, “Very professional,” to which they replied “thank you,” still laughing.
I have stayed in hotels of many different chains around the world, and I have never experienced such humiliating and unprofessional behavior. This kind of treatment is completely unacceptable for an establishment that represents an international hotel chain. To be clear, the restaurant waiters were doing their best, and my complaint is directed only at the restaurant manager and the receptionist on duty between 9:00 p.m. and 10:15 p.m. on October 16
