What an amazing place! We ended up here sort of by accident - our other accommodations fell through, so we pulled up Google Maps to find this gem and checked in the same day. The rooms are gorgeous, and the soaking tub was big. There’s a great Italian restaurant downstairs that makes the whole house smell delightful.

The room was lovely. The staff were terrific. There are a few things that could be done to make the room even more comfortable. First, it would be good to put in the sink in the bathroom a connector between the hot and the cold water. The shower could also use some help with access to the faucets while trying to keep shower curtain closed. The charm of the clawfoot tub is diminished by the difficulty in using the shower. It would also be good to add some towel hangers.

6/10 Good

The bathrooms could come with instructions on how to use the shower/bath. Could use instructions for Roku or at least update them for immediate guest use. Room service should not leave supplies outside of someones door as when we went to leave for a day out we were greeted by a bunch of cleaning supplies and a swiffer literally leaning on the other side of our door. Finally, better parking situation as we had to twist and turn our way out of the parking lot as too many cars were crammed in.

I loved the colors and feel of the place. It was wonderful turning on the fireplace first thing in the morning. Made it super cozy. Ed and the staff were wonderful and very accommodating. With it being my first time in Pittsburgh, Ed was really helpful with giving us a quick run down of the area and recommended great places for us to check out. I highly recommend staying at the Paradoor and look forward to staying there in the future!

I stayed at the Parador because it was close to the aviary but it really was a charming surprise. The house itself is beautiful. There is a lovely courtyard to sit out in and RJ and Rayzette, the two canine resident ambassadors, will keep you company while you relax. The neighborhood itself is quiet and walkable with some very interesting historical architecture to see. The host was extremely nice and helpful and the breakfasts were delicious. All in all, a great place to stay. I would definitely stay here again on a return trip to Pittsburgh.

A unique experience :)

It was a charming place to stay. Beautiful old mansion. Unfortunately we were unfamiliar with how to operate the older faucet system used for the tub and flooded the bathroom a bit. 😅 However the owner responded very quickly and helped us get control of the situation and clean up. The breakfast was delicious, and the room was very clean. The decore throughout the house is super fun to explore!

A stay at the Parador has it all. You get a _very_ spacious room and access to gigantic common areas, such as the main parlor, the library and the outside grounds. Good breakfast and the inn keeper, Ed, is helpful and knowledgeable about the area. A .

Very nice almost antique hotel. Excellent hospitality. A must see property. Excellent amenities. Only issue was you can’t control the a/c. Rooms have ceiling fan and floor fan to compensate.
