Lovely weekend away, enjoyed our stay at the Homestead, Maria and Kevin were fantastic hosts. Melling is very quiet so you will need to drive to a shop/pub, that said we did walk to the pub, 45 mins. Definitely recommend and were made very welcome in their beautiful home.

A lovely night away. Absolutely beautiful room and both hosts were really welcoming. Breakfast was also really nice. We would definitely recommend and would stay again.

Wonderful location. Amazing house. Owners very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Breakfast was lovely. Bed was a little small and the roll top bath is really good if you around 5ft.

Stopped over here on toute from Scotland to south Wales. Lovely old property filled with period furnishings. Huge room, very comfortable bed. Nothing was too much trouble for Kevin and Maria. Woukd highly recommend

The Homestead, a beautiful B&B with great character. Sits in Melling about 5 miles from Kirkby Lonsdale. The hosts Kevin snd Maria, couldn't do enough to make our stay as memorable as possible. Kevin dropped us and picked us up from one of the local pubs, that we had booked in for ouf evening meal. Whilst Maria cooked wonderful breakfasts. Definitely worth a visit, we are looking to book again.

This was a treat! Canopy bed, stone stairway with tapestries, exquisite furniture. I felt like I had entered a Jane Austen novel. Wish I could have spent a week here.

We had an amazing experience at homestead kevin and maria were fantastic and very attentive hosts and our room was extraordinarily beautiful . The breakfast was also 5 star and we mentioned the day before it was our wedding anniversary today and when we came down for breakfast they had left us a card and chocolates will definitely be returning and very soon x

Breakfast over the 2 nights was outstanding especially Maria’s tortilla, there was no way you were leaving hungry and a thanks to Kevin who dropped us off and picked us up, in his own time, very grateful. A beautiful place to stay

If I could give more stars I would! Outstanding hospitality, your kindness was very much appreciated. We have stayed in some fabulous accommodation but The Homestead is magnificent! I’ve never seen anything like it! I’d would recommend to anybody. Such a lovely couple who own and live there, extremely generous and very helpful. The breakfast, facilities are unmatched in my opinion, they truly go above and beyond for their guests.

The property is beautiful full of character just loved it. Maria and her husband went out of there way to make sure we enjoyed our break even driving use for evening meal so we could have a drink then returning to bring us back. Fabulous place. Penny and John

Beautiful home. Fantastic welcome from Marie and Kevin. Even helped us from the car to the room with our bags. All the info you needed to go out and about. Totally spotless and gleaming. So clean. Comfortable bed. Beautiful linen. Everything you needed. Breakfast was more like silver service. Crisp spotless tablecloth. Polished cutlery, beautiful crockery, nice hot food. Could not do enough for you. Definitely the best b and b we have been in. ...and we have been in a lot! Very much recommended, you will definitely feel spoilt. Xxxx

Kevin & Maria are perfect hosts who provide everything needed for a comfortable & relaxed stay in their home oozing with character. There was a wide choice for breakfast, a hearty meal served in a private dining room. The best B&B experience we’ve had in a long time.

What a little gem of a find. The hospitality shown was exceptional, Maria and Kevin couldn’t do enough to make us welcome to their beautiful home. The breakfast was outstanding, I can truly recommend Maria’s Spanish omelette, delicious. Everything about The Homestead is 5star quality, making a stay in this beautiful home a truly unique experience. Thank you Maria and Kevin, we will certainly be back soon. Bill and Elaine
