I have NO idea how this hotel has such decent ratings. Which is why we chose it by the way. This was the absolute worst hotel experience of my life.
We had vehicle trouble so got to the hotel much later than expected/hoped, checking in close to midnight. When we got to our room we immediately notice that the room was not clean. There was food all over the floor and on the small table in the room. So, I called to the front desk to let them know. The immediate response was "I'll refund your money". I was a little confused so asked them to explain, "I'll refund your money!" I asked if we could just get a clean room, but the attendant informed us that they were sold out and again responded that they would refund us. Does this mean you're refunding our money and we're staying for free, or are you telling us to go find another room at almost midnight on the Fourth of July. We were supposed to leave. I was stunned, and getting a little upset now, then the attendant hung up on me.

Cliff's Notes. Food on floor, hair on sink, dirty toilet seat bowl, roaches, lock didn't work, gave a stranger a key to let themselves in our room (and they did while my lady was changing), cigarette burns in bedding, plastic bag over smoke detector, filthy dirty pillow cases, didn't clean the following day even after asking (we had to stay because the motorcycle was broken down).
The whole thing was terrible.
