When I arrived, there was no electricity or power.
I sat in my car for an hour and a half trying to figure out what to do – the lobby doors were locked, and it was dark. I booked on line, and there was no notification that the power had been out for 24 hours it let me book a room.
When power came back, the lobby doors finally opened and I was able to check in, however the first room I was assigned, was not clean when I got there.
It had somebody else else’s belongings in it and the bed was all messed up and there was trash everywhere and somebody else’s food in the fridge.
I went back to the lobby and they apologized - the power shortage shut the tracking software down so they weren’t sure which rooms have been cleaned or not, they were kind of guessing.
They assigned me another room , however, when I got to the new room, the key wouldn’t work.
So I went back to the lobby for the third time,
The third was a charm! The key worked and I got into the room, which was large and roomie, with the refrigerator and microwave and nice TV. I was so happy.
Unfortunately, the heater didn’t work and the room never warmed up- it was about 12° outside- FREEZING- and I called the office to request extra blankets at least six times, and they never arrived.
I slept in three layers of clothes with a hooded parka fleece jacket on, mittens and socks, and ear muffs-
It was a very uncomfortable night. But I felt grateful to have a bed to sleep in at that point.
