Phi Phi Reggae Bar is one of the longest-established night spots in Tonsai Village. Located right between Tonsai and Loh Dalum bays, it's a large venue with loud music, sports events shown on a sizeable screen, 5 bars fronted by friendly bartenders, pool tables, and even a Thai boxing ring.

Muay Thai is the main attraction at Phi Phi Reggae Bar. You can catch a show every night – inebriated spectators are often invited to fight in the ring (in exchange for a few more drinks).

Sunflower Beach Bar is at the northern end of Loh Dalum Bay, right on the beach. Salas, hammocks, and mats are set around a bamboo-and-thatch building, offering a pure hippie-era spirit. The bar also offers an expansive view of the bay, making it a great sundowner spot in Phi Phi.

Sunflower Beach Bar serves excellent curries as well as Thai and western dishes.  Prices are affordable, too. Fire shows and acoustic live music shows take place every evening.

Carlito's Bar is a buzzing nightclub located towards the eastern end of Tonsai Bay. Occupying 2 buildings – 1 on each side of the path – it's just the right place to party to reggae and house, provided by Thai and international DJs. The place is more relaxed in the afternoon. You can take part in poi (unlit fire chain handling) and yoga lessons, or simply relax with a cool drink. At night, the ambience changes drastically with loud music and fire shows on the beach.

Slinky Beach Bar is a large open-air disco set right on Loh Dalum Beach. It offers many fun activities, including dancing, a mechanical bull ride, face and body painting, fire shows, fire-skipping and fire-limbo – just don't get too drunk and overestimate your flexibility when participating in this one!

Cocktail buckets are affordable at Slinky Beach Bar. The bar is made of the usual wood, bamboo and thatch materials, while its décor includes some gigantic phalluses on the sand.

Ibiza Beach Club at Ibiza House Phi Phi is a discotheque with a dancefloor right on the beach. This bar is pretty cool for a sundowner, with affordable drinks and live performances to enjoy until the end of the night. While most come to watch stunning fire shows that take place on a stage in front of the bar, you can also dance to modern and trendy tunes, provided by Ibiza Beach Club's resident DJs. Pool parties often take place as well, usually on weekends and holidays.

Banana Bar occupies the rooftop of Sombrero Mexican Restaurant in Tonsai Village. A wonky spiral staircase leads you to the bar – it's a good idea to sober up before making your way back down. The terrace of the building has bamboo salas (pavilions) with colourful cushions and mats. You can enjoy excellent cocktails with views over Loh Dalum Bay, especially during sunset.

Banana Bar has 2 counters fronted by talented bartenders mixing cocktails and serving a wide range of beers and spirits. Music, fire shows, and even hula hoop contests take place until late, making it a great place to party.

Stockholm Syndrome is a great venue in the nightspots corner of Tonsai Village in Koh Phi Phi. It occupies a 2-storey building, with most of the action happening on its ground level. That includes beer pong tables, pool tables and a small dancefloor. The second floor is a comfortable lounge, attracting those who prefer a quiet night out. The atmosphere at Stockholm Syndrome is really festive, with very friendly staff and management to keep you entertained until late.

Apache Beach Club is one of the largest open-air discos on Loh Dalum Beach. While it's pretty quiet during the day, it starts to get frantic and crowded after 9pm with young folks looking to party until late. There's a wooden stage surrounded by plastic chairs right on the beach, where you can enjoy fire dancers performing various tricks.

Buckets of spirits and energy drinks heat up the ambience of loud techno and house music. Apache Beach Club is part of Apache Beach House, so the place is indeed dedicated to party animals who go to bed only after the music stops.

Hippies Bar is a longstanding institution in Tonsai East. It's set above the beach, on a terrace furnished with low tables, mats and cushions. The bar is mostly made of driftwood and recycled materials, with TVs broadcasting live sports events and a room full of pool tables.

Hippies Bar serves Thai and international favourites at affordable prices, as well as a long list of cocktails. It gets very lively after 8pm, with live music performances, fire shows, and DJs.

Dubliner Irish Pub is frenetic some nights and mad busy on others. With an in-house DJ and occasional live bands, along with a bar at which everyone faces each other, socialising has never been so easy. Here, you can choose to dance, hang out at the bar, play pool or go upstairs to people-watch. There are also TVs screening major sports events, as well as a foosball table for those looking for a friendly match.

Chill Out Bar is located on Tonsai Beach, around 950 metres northeast of Tonsai Pier. With the same management as Mama Residence’s excellent Cliff Bar, it's a great place to relax with a drink and enjoy fire shows on the beach. The bar often hosts beach parties that feature fireworks and DJs – you can even expect international names during special occasions like NYE and Christmas.

One of the biggest bars on Loh Dalum Beach, Stones Bar and Resto attracts partygoers with loud dubstep that goes on until late. The bar has a fluorescent ‘cave’ and driftwood décor, along with talented fire dancers performing at around 9pm. There's also a small kiosk offering face and body painting for a few baht. Stones Bar and Resto is open well into the night – many come here when everywhere else has closed.

The Beach Bar Phi Phi offers a bamboo-and-thatch setup with an inner sitting area. Happy hour promos are from 5pm to 8pm every day. You can enjoy a good mix of music genres until about 10pm, then its lively neighbours kick in with dubstep and hip-hop playing at ear-splitting levels. The bar is around 800 metres east of Loh Lana Bay.

Rolling Stoned Bar is a pub and grill where rock 'n' roll fans can enjoy live music during the high season. It's located in central Tonsai, around 450 metres east of Tonsai Pier on Koh Phi Phi Don. Expect dim lights, floor cushions, and loud rock on the sound system. It also has 4 pool tables for those who fancy a game during their visit.
