Shopping in Hiroshima

Shopping in Hiroshima runs the gamut from department stores to speciality shops, gigantic shopping complexes, haute couture fashion, souvenir shops and locally made arts and crafts. The city centre of Hiroshima never goes to sleep, and it's all built around Hondori Street, which features a gigantic shopping arcade covered in glass with hundreds of big-name and indie retailers. A few blocks away, you can find exclusive department stores and multi-level shopping centres.

East Asia is famed for its underground shopping, and the first in Hiroshima is Kamiyacho Shareo, which is an impressive spot to find discounted souvenirs, arts and crafts, high fashion and a huge SOGO Department Store. This centre has more than 80 retailers.
