"The good: Fiesole is a tranquil little town and an easy 15 minute bus ride into downtown Florence. We saw many hikers and cyclists passing through.
The bad: the hotel is dingy and charmless. It advertises views of the Tuscan countryside but these are a sliver at best. Our room had a moldy shower, stained curtain, and repainted second hand furniture. The front desk is not manned 24/7. The breakfast is so-so. In short, if you want to avoid the pricier hotels in town, or access to local hiking...

Bus stop right behind hotel, hotel staff pointed this out and I wished I had taken advantage because Cab drive to Florence city about 55 euros each way.
