"Train drives by often, it's next to the tracks. Very old and run down. But, comfortable and cheap, if you're just looking for a bed. All rooms are on the second (third) floor, no elevator, stairs only. Decent location, Walmart and lots of restaurants, etc, are across the street."

The staff is great, always very helpful & courteous. The Royal Lodge is the ideal place to stay, it is close to everything that you are going to need."

"We booked a queen suite which was very spacious. It had a separate bedroom. The main area had a couch, a kitchen with a full size fridge, a table with four chairs and dishes for four. The hotel is at the crossroads of the Yellowhead freeway and St. Albert Trail. Both busy roads. You could hear traffic noise from the Yellowhead but it quickly just became "white noise".
