If all you need is a place to sleep, hot water, ac, a place to hang out with friends and an awesome view of the morning/evening/night sky, this is the place. If you want more than that, like a coffee pot, fridge, tv that plays at a decent volume and to be able to flush toilet paper, think otherwise. The staff was friendly and awesome. This takes me back several decades in memory. The key to the room was a actual key with a big key chain with the room number handwritten on it. If it had not been for my friends staying there as well, I may have tried to find another place.

Stayed two nights, average about $180 per night. It's expensive, but no refrigerator, no microwave, no table lamp, no shampoo and conditioner, no tissue paper, no ice (you can buy bagged ice). Carpet is old and perhaps not clean, bed sheet is not white, door and windows have gaps to allow bugs to get in. The only positive things are the location is close to the park, and the manager was very nice.

AC worked too well. TV, not so much. No soap or shampoo. No coffee. The rooms need a severe update. Everything was outdated. Signage conveyed a real attitude. Couldn’t throw toilet paper in the toilet. Absurd and a bit disgusting.

The facility was OK. We never met any staff, looks like they are operating remote. We paid $175 per night, this is pricey for a place like this. This is a place in the middle of no where, hotel does not have any amenities like breakfast, or snacks and built on unpaved dirt site, felt $175 was expensive.

the mountains were indeed visible from the porch, (not from the room, the is only one window in the kitchen) since the room is located on a hill, connected to the main road with a steep uneven dirt road. not a problem if you have 4 wheel drive... the AC was old - extremely noisy and not very effective, we turned it off. the bathroom wasn't very clean - we could find hair all over. bring your own towels if you like then big and fluffy. those provided with the room are small and thin. the kitchen is equipped with the very basic - we wanted to boil water and had to use the only available one pretty large pot - no small pots or pans or kettle. and no coffee or tea - so bring them with you. bottom line - for the price they take - you get very little.

the bathroom was really dirty. Both the toilet and the shower. The bed cover had many cigarettes holes and the towels were really poor quality and overused. so were the linens. they didn’t have any coffee machines in the room nor complimentary coffee in the lobby.

I have been traveling the world for 30 years and have stayed in hundreds of budget hotels across four continents, including in developing countries. With that experience, I can honestly say that this is the most “budget” accommodation I have ever encountered — and not in a good way. The room consisted of two beds (one broken), a TV, a sink, and a barely functioning toilet. That was basically it. The windows were held shut with a wooden stick, and the front door was so poorly fitted that it kept blowing open, even when locked. The real issue, however, was cleanliness. The entire place was permeated by a strong, musty, and irritating smell of a damp basement mixed with chemicals. The odor is still in our clothes, even after several weeks and two washes. The level of dirt was also very noticeable. It felt like the rooms had not been properly cleaned for a very long time. We found several dead bugs. Unfortunately, the staff added to the negative experience. We genuinely did not feel welcome, and there was no sense of hospitality. Rather, we felt like an inconvenience. Interactions were stiff, uninterested, and at times downright uncomfortable. There was no willingness to help or make our stay more pleasant, which is a shame, because good service can often make up for a lot. We had booked and paid around $450 for three nights, but after the first night we decided to leave and checked out the following morning. That probably says it all.

Empty the TP bucket daily. It got stinky in the bathroom even with the lid closed. Otherwise, it was fine. I’d prefer to keep the price low rather than add amenities. We were gone 5am-8pm. So we just needed a place to sleep. Maybe warn folks the walls are thin, but neighbors quieted when we told them we heard them. So people were respectful.

Considering it’s Location close to Big Bend national Park, it was convenient to stay there. It was adequate for those with the camping mentality. Just be aware that the walls are paper thin and conversations can be heard from rooms next-door. Because they requested that no toilet paper be flushed down the toilet, I would’ve expected them to empty the trash can at least every other day. There are no amenities other than a bed and bathroom with nice hot water and a shower. I would stay here again if visiting Big Bend.

The room is fine with hot water and hitting facility, but main problem was that no Wifi, though the wifi connection is there but if you want to connect you can’t. When you ask those guys regarding this service they made various excuses and said we can't fix it. We were there for two nights, both the nights we had same situation. Initial behavior was friendly during checkin but once we asked about the Wifi issue then their behavior turned 180 degree opposite. Thanks…
