The room was outdated in that it was cracking on the walls and roof, the shower head was uncomfortably strong or weak, no in between, the second bedroom did not have a charger or bedside table on one side, only one lamp, needing to ask for a air conditioner remote was frustrating, the body wash was not topped up as apart of room service, when we had the full service the robes weren’t replaced so we were left with no robe, the bins were too compact in the draws o we could no dispose of rubbish easily without leaving it around the room. The rooms were serviced very late in the day and the person doing it had a strong odour that was left behind in the room, problem with it being late in the day is that the people are arriving rooms when guests are typically arriving back. Staff member was not able to help operate the oven as they didn’t understand it either.
The location was good and the initial greeting was pleasing, the amenities downstairs were helpful, if you opened up the boot dryers to everyone and had more of them switched on that’d be more convenient. The shuttle bus was good when it wasn’t full or you didn’t have to wait a long time, when it was full it was full with people standing which seems unsafe given the road conditions.
All these things add up the a negative experience for a higher end hotel, if it was a 3 star hotel I wouldn’t say these things matter so much, if you want to improve and meet a 4 or 5 star hotel they should well be considered.
