Location of the hotel is great, room was good, staff were very nice, but 2 reasons they dont deserve a 5 rating
First, some scammers got the data of my reservation and tried to trick me into clicking on a link, or i will lose my reservation, how the info was obtained? Been a customer of hotels.com for a long time and this was the first time this happened. Sent an email to the hotel and they acknowledge some of their customers reported a similar situation, got a template email response from them and that was all, no in-person apology for this at checkin or anything from them compensating for this as many others establishments will do. Not a great start or show of real guest caring. Like “Ignore the situation as it has never happened”.
Second, asked them for recos on tours and winery visits, got immediate response telling me somebody will contact me as soon as possible. At the end silence and no one contacted me. A second show of really bad guest service.
