Beneath the Sierra de la Giganta mountains, this former capital of Las Californias offers adventures both historic and aquatic. The Sea of Cortez becomes your playground for kayaking alongside dolphins and sea lions in clear waters. Our Lady of Loreto Mission stands as testament to the first permanent Spanish settlement on the Baja peninsula. The Loreto Bay National Marine Park protects islands Jacques Cousteau called 'the world's aquarium.' After snorkeling among tropical fish, return to the palm-lined plaza where locals gather nightly. Fishing boats deliver fresh catch to waterfront restaurants with sunset views. Danzante Bay Golf Course offers dramatic ocean vistas with nearly every swing. Loreto Bay Golf & Sea at Baja
"we had a storm at night which flood the balcony, they have a hotel maid cleaning each room but she have to clean all the rooms and on top of cleaning the rooms she had to clean the balconies. The balcony has a half an inch hole to drain the water, but because a lot of leaves also flood the balcony she had to do all by hand. She was taking the water with a dust pan little by little, the other hotel maid reported sick ( I think she knew what to expect). I gave an idea to fill the trash can with the water and then dispose it and it work. The paddles for the kayak: the lady did not want to let us use them because there was a storm the previous night and it could come back (bull pooop). When we ask for anything they call maintenance and they say yes but do not say when. They never show up. When you recall them they say oh we already notified maintenance! . I think they left all the hard work to the hotel maid. The bikes are flat ot the horns are loose or something. a lot of excuses! The hamburgers are the best in theh world try them. they are better than in and out, canadian burgers or anything. you know what I will go back there because I love the Loreto Bay is a paradise, I did not like the hotel maid not beig able to eat brakefast but it seems that they do not have a good manager who looks for all the details. I have that vision and I do not like the people to be unfair, I notice a lot of the other employees sitting in the garden with the cellphone for long time."
Hotel Oasis
"Nice bay view from room. Nice breakfast buffet. Clean nice room!!!"
Villa del Palmar at the Islands of Loreto
"The property was well maintained and beautiful. However, we only got two liters of water when we arrived and that was it. I had to go and buy the water for us to have drinking water. The main pool was under repairs, there were three other small pools."
Aventuras Hotel
"Muy agradable y limpia, la terraza me gustó menos pues tiene mucho cristal"
La Mision Loreto Hotel
"The surrounding area of Loreto requires some time to truly take in, having a hotel you can feel comfortable in is key. It second stay went smoothly as the rooms here were stunning. The architecture felt classic but refreshed and the updates were surely pleasant. The room was decorated and brought a romantic feel. It didn't have refrigerators so that was rather frustrating. The staff, primarily the front desk, had moments of misinformation, guiding us in a wrong direction, but got the job done for the most part. We never got to use their pool and BBQ area as it was just way too hot but the restaurant inside was a true treasure including the waiters and chefs."
Posada de las Flores Loreto
"We loved our stay at Posada de las Flores. We stay here every time we are in Loreto. Beautiful Hacienda style lodging. The convenience of being in town walking distance from everything. And the beautiful and comfortable room. We had a suite this time and it was"
Hotel Loreto Palmar
"The hotel is extremely clean and looks to be recently remodeled. Breakfast daily on the house; eggs, beans, chilaquiles, potatoes, toast and coffee. The hotel is small as well as the pool, but it is central to everything (malecón/boardwalk) restaurants, bars."
BAJA MIA SUITES AND TOURS
"Great for a quick fishing trip."
Suites Santo Cielo
"Great area. Right across from the mission. Restaurant next door is very convenient. Small shops walking distance."
