Four Points Flex by Sheraton Dundee
8/10 Good
"All good on arrival with friendly reception desk staff and room being ready early. 12 midday. Very clean hotel. Despite the location of the railway station there is no noise heard at all. Room was very clean. Quite spacious although rather short of storage space for clothes Bathroom is VERY compact, wouldn’t suit any more than two people using the room etc Decent breakfast choices although when it was busy several things had run out all at the same time. The two members of staff were working very hard to keep everything replenished and clearing tables"
Old Course Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"The room was absolutely beautiful. Check-in was smooth and the check-in team was so lovely and helpful. We ordered room service, and they were so prompt and lovely. We enjoyed some food at the Jigger Inn and the staff there were also really amazing. One particular member of staff was a champ at helping us pay for a bill for a table of 12 people. They also accommodated my husband’s allergies and were really top notch about it. We got to St. Andrew’s by way of train, we pulled in to the Luechers train stop and then took the bus to St. Andrews, the bus stops directly at a bus stop right down the road from the hotel, and it was a 2 minute walk to the hotel."
Dean Park Hotel
8/10 Good
"Nice hotel with big rooms. If booking via Expedia be careful when booking a family room. On arrival we had to pay an additional £50 for 2 beds even though our search and booking on Expedia was for 2 adults and 2 kids. The hotel receptionist was lovely and clearly used to dealing with this confusion but she managed it well. We did however try to go into the restaurant and overheard one of the staff fairly loudly complaining- we arrived at the restaurant at 5.30 so I didn’t think it was unreasonable. We felt so uncomfortable we decided on. KFC…not exactly what we hoped for but stopped us feeling like we were not welcome. For context we are a normal, quiet family not typical complainers and were fairly well presented so not sure why we were made to feel this way. The lift at the back seemed to have some technical issues in that whilst in it the doors kept saying doors opening…they didn’t open. Small levels of panic and eventually they did after about 5 mins…no major issue just lost faith in the lift! It’s about 30 mins for airport no traffic. Electric car charges only one worked of about 10 there. Rooms need to have the doors jars rebalanced as a fair amount of banging noise from them. Room was large and well presented. Location was good for shops etc its was just let done across a number of areas that I think are fairly normal. I personally would not stay again, however I thinks it probably hitty missy on experience"
THE SPACE TO STAY APARTHOTEL
10/10 Excellent
"All areas of the accommodation were clean, the only problem we had was the door to the outside area was broken and we could not access this, which was a pity as it would have been nice to sit outside as the weather was excellent. Everything else down to the staff was great, a super place to stay, although it was impossible to get Uber or a Taxi into town, luckily we had a friend who lived in town and he rescued us, there is a bus which goes into town 6minutes past the hour outside the apartments."
Apex City Quay Hotel & Spa
8/10 Good
"Stay was great, staff were helpful, breakfast wasn't great."
Carnoustie Golf Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Carnoustie hotel is an excellent golf accommodation at a very reasonable cost. We had views over the first tee box and 18th green and enjoyed that view every morning and evening. Staff was very helpful."
The Bank
10/10 Excellent
"Lovely stay above a pub, music went on until midnight however the band were pretty good and we didn’t mind! We had stunning views across the harbour from our room. Comfy bed, nice breakfast!"
The Spindrift Guest House
