Düsseldorf Old Town
Düsseldorf's Old Town packs centuries of history into its charming cobblestone streets. The Gothic spires of St. Lambertus Church rise above the Renaissance Town Hall, while the Rhine promenade offers scenic river views. Known as "the longest bar in the world," 260+ pubs and breweries serve authentic Altbier in copper-gleaming halls. Art lovers can explore the North Rhine-Westphalia Art Collection between historic sightseeing. Traditional brauhäuser serve hearty German cuisine alongside upscale Rhine restaurants. Getting around is a breeze with the Heinrich-Heine-Allee U-Bahn station nearby and excellent walkability throughout the district. Boutique hotels in converted historic buildings provide character-filled accommodations for travelers seeking an authentic German experience.

Stadtmitte
Stadtmitte delivers the best of Düsseldorf with its upscale shopping along Königsallee's tree-lined canal. Shop till you drop at designer boutiques or catch a performance at German Opera. The buzzing business district mixes suited executives with travelers exploring cultural spots like Dusseldorfer Schauspielhaus and Theatermuseum. Getting around is a breeze with the central train station and multiple tram stops nearby. After shopping, refuel at sidewalk cafés where espresso flows freely. Business hotels dominate accommodations, though you'll find boutique options scattered throughout this walkable urban hub.

Pempelfort
Pempelfort blends culture and calm in the heart of Düsseldorf. The neighborhood's crown jewel is Kunstsammlung Nordrhein-Westfalen, where modern art finds a home in a striking black granite building. Elegant turn-of-the-century architecture lines tree-canopied streets while the peaceful Hofgarten park offers a green escape from sightseeing. Refined bistros and cozy wine bars cater to locals with German-international fusion at mid-to-upscale prices. Getting around is a breeze with multiple tram stops and excellent walkability throughout the neighborhood. Boutique guesthouses in converted residential buildings provide intimate accommodations with personalized host interaction.

Bilk
Bilk blends academic energy with laid-back neighborhood charm in the heart of Düsseldorf. Students from Heinrich Heine University bring youthful buzz to the streets, while the stunning Botanical Garden offers a peaceful escape from city life. Grab your walking shoes and explore the historic Bilk Observatory or stroll along the scenic Rhine promenade. The neighborhood serves up a tasty mix of international cuisines at student-friendly prices. Tram stops at Am Steinberg, Moorenstraße, and Merowingerstraße make getting around a breeze, and the area's walkable streets invite casual exploration. Budget travelers will find comfortable guesthouses and hostels perfect for experiencing authentic German daily life.

Flingern-Sued
Flingern-Sued brings Düsseldorf's creative soul to life with converted industrial spaces now humming with artistic energy. Brick warehouses house design studios while colorful street murals transform former factory walls into open-air galleries. Independent boutiques and artisan cafés create a genuine bohemian vibe that feels both edgy and welcoming. The dining scene mixes artisanal coffee shops with international fusion restaurants and traditional German gastropubs. Getting around couldn't be easier with multiple tram stops, the Kettwiger Strasse U-Bahn, and pedestrian-friendly streets that make exploring this artistic enclave a breeze.

Beneath the gleaming modern skyline, the Altstadt (Old Town) earns its nickname as 'the longest bar in the world' with over 300 pubs and breweries serving the distinctive copper-colored Altbier. The elegant Königsallee ('Kö') offers luxury shopping along a tree-lined canal where locals pretend not to notice celebrities. Art lovers can wander between the K20 and K21 museums before catching performances at the striking Tonhalle concert hall. The Rhine promenade transforms into an open-air party on summer evenings, while the MedienHafen district showcases Frank Gehry's famously twisted buildings. For the best city views, ascend the Rheinturm tower, then recover with apple cake in a café on Bolkerstrasse.

Sheraton Duesseldorf Airport Hotel
"QUIET Rooms considering you are staying at an airport. I have no complains. Very convenient, clean and quiet. Friendly staff."
Lindner Dusseldorf Seestern, Part of JdV by Hyatt
"What was unique about the property was the Sky Lounge, 19 stories high, outside area too and overlooking the Rhine River. Service was exceptional, including getting our rooms earlier. We were upgraded from standard rooms to comfort rooms free of charge. This was a nice touch. The rooms were spacious and very clean. The buffet style breakfast, which included both hot and cold selections, was very well received. This was also free during our stay. Overall, an exceptional experience and we will be back."

"Buena ubicación"
Me and All Hotel Dusseldorf, by Hyatt
"On check in the staff were very accommodating. However just a couple of issues experienced during our stay the main one being the lack of a bottle opener. This may sound ridiculous but the water provided in the room needed a bottle opener to open it. Despite reporting this several times, where the staff insisted there was one attached to the wall ( there wasn’t) we weren’t offered a solution."
