Learn more about Grindelwald
Tucked beneath the imposing Eiger, this Alpine village delivers jaw-dropping mountain panoramas that explain why photographers camp out for sunrise shots. The Jungfrau Railway climbs to Europe's highest station, where even seasoned travelers fall silent at the views. In winter, carve through pristine powder at Grindelwald-Wengen Ski Area; summer brings hiking trails to the impossibly blue Bachalpsee Lake. The First Cable Car whisks you to adventure platforms where daredevils soar on ziplines above meadows dotted with bell-wearing cows. Traditional wooden chalets with flower-box windows line streets where the aroma of fondue tempts you into family-run restaurants. For the ultimate Swiss experience, book a room with a balcony facing the north face of the Eiger.

Sunstar Hotel Grindelwald
"Clean room. Great staff and excelent breakfast"
Aspen alpin lifestyle hotel Grindelwald
"View from both of our rooms was spectacular. Restaurant was very good. Staff was very friendly and welcoming, especially the driver that transported us to and from the hotel. Hotel is outside the town in a rural area with stunning views of Grindelwald (there is a bus that stops at the hotel). One of our rooms was very large and quite nice. The other room was smaller but still nice. Only minor concern is we booked two suites but the quality of the rooms were vastly different. It's unclear if one room was upgraded or the other was downgraded... but the hotel was so beautiful we didn't bother to ask about it. Very highly recommend."
Hotel Alpenhof
"Our room had a balcony with a spectacular view of the mountain. The room was nice. We could hear the room next door move furniture, but it was not bad. The hotel was very close to downtown, but seemed like in the countryside. We highly recommend this hotel"
Eiger Lodge Easy
"Since it was summer, the warmer temperatures meant that we had to open the windows to allow air to circulate and keep the room comfortable. This unfortunately also meant that noise from the surrounding areas was more noticeable. One thing we could have done differently was request a fan earlier. We only learned that fans were available and requested one on our last night, so we were unaware of this option during the earlier part of our stay. Our room was adjacent to the restaurant and cafeteria. Although these areas were closed, some guests continued to sit in the eating area and chat until around midnight. We found the noise quite disruptive, especially when we were trying to sleep. We had assumed that 10 p.m. would generally be considered a reasonable time for quiet hours. As a suggestion, the hotel may wish to consider implementing a clear quiet-hours policy after 10 p.m., particularly for common areas located near guest rooms. A gentle reminder to guests to keep conversations and noise to a minimum after 10 p.m. would help create a more comfortable and restful environment for everyone. Overall, we appreciate the efforts of the hotel and hope this feedback can help improve the experience for future guests."
Hotel Bernerhof Grindelwald
