This is a lovely new hotel, very helpful friendly staff and one of the very best Onsens we’ve experienced in Japan (this is my third trip). Really fantastic- new, clean, three pools- outstanding. The hotel is 35 minutes S of Hakuba by car and an hour by shuttle bus, and the shuttle only runs to and from once per day so without a car you don’t have many options. Omachi, the nearest town is a fairly long walk. Recommend having a rental car if you stay here.
Beautiful hotel and excellent dining experience. Loved the freshly grated wasabi! There was an earthquake during our stay but had not affect the hotel operations. Will definitely come back again.
Kaji, front desk manager was amazing & so helpful -accommodations & meals were wonderful, buses were convenient , about 45 min each way to & from the ski areas
This is a fantastic option for starting or ending your Alpine route journey. Loved the serenity of the location, facility & service. Onsens on site; some rooms have private baths. Chose the half board rate, and the experience of a multi-course dinner and full service breakfast was well worth it!
Our stay at the Ryokan Tsuchi to Ito was nothing short of a dream. The ryokan itself is beautiful with gorgeous details and comfort in every corner. The host, Kimi, went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and cared for, and provided wonderful recommendations as we spent our days exploring Nagano. The food is absolutely exceptional, and you can tell they take great pride in the food they grow and Kimi’s mom is an incredible cook. We will never forget our stay, and enthusiastically recommend...
The inn proprietors were exceedingly helpful, friendly and kind. We felt very welcomed. The onsen bath was beautiful and very relaxing. They provided some nice spa products that I enjoyed. The breakfast buffet was delicious with many local products used. Dinner at the restaurant was colorful and delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
La Neige is a great hotel, the staff is perfect, I want to come back, the premises are beautiful, so elegant, and at a good price, there’s no onsen, but no problem, there are options a few minutes away, and the hotel have an excellent transportation service.
I definitely want to come back.

We loved our stay at the Hakuba Marriott! It had a great gym, the in room onsen was perfect after a day on the slopes and the staff were so friendly. It was walkable to the main drag and provides a shuttle to the ski resorts right out front. It was nice to come back and enjoy a drink at the bar after dinner. We cannot wait to stay here again!

We had a rental car issue and the staff jump in and took care of everything, simply amazing.
This stop in our trip was a favorite, small quaint city. Lots to do, could walk everywhere, no problem. will definitely go back to Matsumoto. The hotel was centeralized, clean, friendly, just what a traveler looks for at day's end.
