Stella, Antonio, and Giovanna all made for a great stay at Countryhouse Federico -- they were all very warm, welcoming, and helpful in answering questions about the town and its surroundings. I stayed in the downstairs suite, which including a large bathroom, bedroom, living room, and kitchen with gas stove and refridgerator. My wife and I are traveling through Italy on our honeymoon. Over the past three weeks, we’ve stayed in a variety of hotels, B&Bs, agriturismos, and other accommodations. Without a doubt, this has been the best place we’ve stayed at during our trip. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, the attention to detail was outstanding, and everything made us feel truly special. It was the perfect stop on our honeymoon.
Wow. A pool with a view to die for, breakfast on the terrace wonderful and an excellent dinner. Peaceful throughout.
Friendly staff, very helpful. Hard to fault from start to finish.
Lots of varied animals around too!
This was my first time in Italy and first time in Europe in 24 years. I chose this place because of the location not being close to the city and the great amenities. Located in a nice little town of 122 people with its own church next door, this hotel was perfect.
Staff was extremely nice and could not have had a better stay
Amazing location and even more amazing hosts. I want to return and stay longer. I could not recommend this place higher for a quiet and inclusive stay.
We stayed at Castello di Monterado for 8 nights but wished we could have stayed for a month! Orlando and Kira were wonderful hosts who left nothing to chance. Everything was spectacular from the views from the pool and our rooms to the surrounding area.
