We loved the town and Lava show. The Soup Company restaurant in the same building as the lava show was our favorite food of the whole trip. Outstanding soups especially the icelanic lamb soup and hot lava soup! Staff were really friendly too!

This is a lovely seaside town with a beautiful church surrounded by lupine flowers that looks like a picture postcard. The Black Sand Beach nearby is also a striking landscape feature. A few great restaurants & nice people!

Black sand beach is cool, we saw horseback riding on the beach in the morning. The brewery was cute. Black pizza place was good and quick. There are a few shops in Vik including a couple gas stations. Nice stopover, but don't expect to find a ton

There are many hikes and adventures that are within an easy drive from this location. There are several restaurants to choose from, and some shopping as well, so was a good place to be for a couple of days.

Good little town to stock up in supplies. Beautiful beach. Ate at Smiíjan Brugghus and the food was amazing. Everywhere in Icleand is so beautiful.

Amazing little town with a grocery story and good dining options. The Barn was the perfect stop in our travels further east. Quiet, clean, well-appointed hostel with an excellent kitchen and bar.

Found a really good restaurant up on the hill. Vik is the only town with facilities between Reyk and the natural wonders east.

Vik is a lovely provincial town with every amenity you could wish for.
"A quiet retreat during a long trip, yet convenient to everything the South Coast of Iceland has to offer. The breakfast was great; staff were helpful on checkin and during my stay when I had done questions."
"Vik I Myrdal is a small community, with a fair amount of options for lodging. It's location along the Ring Road makes it a desirable location to spend the night. We spent two nights. My wife and I think this may have been the most comfortable bed during our two weeks in Scotland and Iceland. The view from the hotel, primarily the back of the property, is absolutely stunning. We did not eat dinner in the restaurant, opting to dine "in town". The breakfast options were plentiful and tasty. Also, the staff are all super friendly and helpful. I would wholeheartedly recommend spending the night, or two, or more!"
"I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The modern design stood out right away—clean lines, stylish decor, and a thoughtfully designed space that felt both welcoming and functional. Everything from the lobby to the room had a sleek, contemporary vibe that made the experience feel a bit more special. Would definitely stay here again!"
"Everything here was great! Beds were very comfortable, breakfast was delicious, work out room was great, location is superb. Couldn't ask for anything better. "
