Learn more about Ennis
Between the banks of the River Fergus, medieval lanes twist past brightly painted storefronts where traditional Irish music flows from pubs with the casual brilliance of a local birthright. Clare Museum offers fascinating glimpses into regional history, while the 13th-century Ennis Friary stands as a magnificent ruin worth exploring. The town serves as an ideal base for day trips to the lunar-like Burren landscape or the dramatic Cliffs of Moher. Quin Abbey and Knappogue Castle provide atmospheric glimpses into Ireland's past. After exploring, settle into a pub where musicians gather spontaneously for sessions that make you forget what century you're in. The six-time winner of Ireland's Tidiest Town competition takes justifiable pride in its immaculate streets and warm hospitality.

The Savoy Hotel
"Great location with walking distance to all the sights and lots of options for meals. We had a great dinner at Spitjacks 1 block from the hotel. King John’s Castle was a 15 minute walk. The staff were great and accommodating. We had the family suite (room 306), which was very large and beds were comfortable (2 twin, 1 king). We opted for the breakfast in the morning, which was excellent ($19 euro for adults, $15 for kids). It was nice not having a breakfast buffet and the service was excellent. Parking was across the street with a discounted rate of $12 euro. We would definitely stay here again. "
Treacys Oakwood Hotel
"We were not hear for very long (about 12 hours). What we saw was nice. The staff was especially helpful. The room was big and clean. We'd stay again"
