Ruhondo Beach Resort is a beautiful place that requires a boat ride to get to. I stayed in an Executive Tent, which had a queen size mattress, light, electrical plug, and WiFi. The lake is a beautiful setting with many water birds, and spectacular views of the volcanoes!
We enjoyed our time! The staff was on top of things. I felt safe in the neighborhood. They helped with taxis and making sure we had everything we needed. The rooms were clean and were extra stocked with what we all needed.
This hotel was beautiful, the service excellent, and the staff could not have been more welcoming and friendly. This is a historical hotel which was a victim/and witness to the genocide of 1994. And yet they have carried on and risen above the horrific events of that time; and have turned this hotel into the beautiful place it is. The property is well maintained and conveniently located just a short walk from the Musanze bus terminal. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. The food prepared by the guest house cook was excellent! Our only concern was the lack of hot water in the shower, but that may have been due to the fact that we didn't know to plug in the water heater.

Clean spaces with polite staff from the gate to the reception, housekeeping and the kitchen. The food is delicious, including the free breakfast; the only thing is the long preparation time of your order from their menu. You will be told that it would only take 40 minutes, but in reality it's more than an hour. Even ordered food at night, it came after one hour and a half. I tried to cancel earlier but the female staff beg me not to do it because the property will charge her of the food price....
