If you have a car, Chez Bea is an excellent and relaxing B&B choice for visiting Granville. Beatrice is warm and welcoming and serves a delicious made to order breakfast. We gave the amenities 4 rather than 5 stars only because the bathroom and separate toilet are in a shared hallway. Otherwise, everything was well kept, and the large back garden is a lovely surprise should you desire given that the residence is tucked away in a suburban setting.
Loved this place! Only one problem. We booked this hotel because the discription said it was 15 mins from Mont Saint Michel! Wrong!!! It took us 50 mins driving to get there! So yes, it was lovely, along the coast, just not close like we were told on Hotels.com.

Great place to enjoy St. Malo for a few days. It's location is perfect, situated right next to the beach and in good distance from the town center (about a 30 min walk). The staff is unbelievably helpful.
Nice, clean, comfortable room, good check-in experience. The direct access to the ramparts was a big bonus. The only negative was a misleading email from the hotel regarding advance notice of arrival time which caused unnecessary stress.
Within the budget. We walk to the train station to hop in the bus ($3 each) to go to the entrance site of the Abbey, then hop in a free shuttle bus to go to the Abbey or you can walk from here.
Excellent wifi. Free parking just across the street. Exceptionally clean room and bathroom. Breakfast was delicious. Very few restaurants nearby but there is a Carrefour not too far away (by car) and a farmer's market just out front (on Tuesday mornings). Overall, an excellent hotel.
This is one of the few places to stay on Mont Saint-Michel. We decided to splurge because we wanted to experience the island after the crowds were gone. The room was very up-to-date and well thought out. We had a view of the bay and kept the window open all night to stay cool. No cooling otherwise. Also up lots of spiral stairs. We were allowed to leave our backpacks before check in and after check out so we could walk unhindered. Comfy bed, lots of pillows, mini fridge, we didn't try TV. ...
We chose this hotel largely because of the great price and close proximity to Le Mont St Michel, but we were pleasantly surprised by how nice the accomadations were! I would definitely recommend. Our room ended up being more of a suite than just a standard hotel room, and we could see the island as soon as we walked out our door. Staff was very helpful and spoke English. We had dinner and breakfast on property. Dinner was excellent. The room and bathroom were a good size for us. We were traveling from Paris to Mont St Michel and this was a great location. Staff were great.
