Very large, spacious room. Loved the heated bathroom floor. The room and very clean and the beds were very comfortable. The breakfast was fantastic.
I also really loved the wine bar and the food/snacks there. Everyone there was so sweet and friendly.
Very nice hotel at an excellent price! My wife and I really enjoyed our stay there. The staff was really friendly during check in and took us immediately to our room and showed us how everything in the room worked. Very cozy room and bathroom with a tub, which my wife enjoyed taking a warm bath in after a very cold and wet day. Great breakfast included with the room at no additional charge. Ever back in this area again, I would definitely stay stay here again.

Only downside was the waiters and bartenders did not seem to care much, buffet food never replenished for two hours. Bartender only seemed to want to go home.
Owner was very friendly & helpful. We arrived, dialed the number on the door, and he promptly came to check us in. Our room was on the top floor of 3 stories and had had a sink, fridge, hair dryer (in the end table), 2 twin beds, couch, and 1 queen bed. Beds were comfortable, towels & bedding new. This room was a little outdated & needed some work, but, from the looks of the outside of the other rooms, it looks like they are working on them. Very historic building, walking distance to everything. Room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was excellent and service was very friendly. The ambiance in the basement restaurant looked very nice although we did not eat there. We ate at a local pub that had an outstanding live music duo. Monschau is a hidden gem in the region.
The location of the hotel was perfect for us, as it was central to the downtown shopping area, the university, and the tourist sites. Even the Lindt outlet store was an easy walk. The staff was willing to speak English or German and answered all of our questions. The breakfasts were typical German and we're one of very few hotels we've stayed at that served Westphalian Ham (we love it.)
The next time were in Aachen, we will be staying here again.
The hotel was modern with small but clean rooms and a good location. Bathroom setup with tub & separate shower plus additional toilet room was nice, but with the sofa bed made, there wasn't anywhere to leave our luggage. The kids play area in the lobby, kids' check gift & a large breakfast buffet was very nice extra for the kids. The bar was opened late for the world cup game, which Germany won - definitely a great way to end the day.
Second time I’ve stayed at this B&B. For me, it’s all about location. Love that I can drop my things in the evening at my room and then go enjoy and get dinner right down the block in the city center. Nothing fancy about the rooms but you can’t beat the location
