Everything about our short stay was lovely. The town was very quiet while we were there - our stay was primarily to visit the castle ruins (which we recommend!). Very charming town. The inn was very relaxing and we enjoyed the on-site onsen, and the excellent Japanese breakfast.
The room was WONDERFUL. We loved the traditional architecture-with modern amenities-and the room was clean and had very comfortable and quiet. The bathroom was modern and the complimentary drinks in the mini-bar area...
Lovely staff that helped us look up times for trains and buses to Takeda Castle Ruins. As well as helped us getting a taxi because apparently there’s only one out there 😅
It’s a 20 min walk on flat ground from the Wadayama station so be ready for that.
Also the taxi from the hotel to Takeda Station was around 2800 yen just fyi
If you’re chasing something truly unique in Japan, skip the big cities for a night and stay in Fukusaki — a small town quietly famous for its yokai folklore. And if you do, there’s one stay that absolutely makes the experience unforgettable. The space itself is incredibly homey. You get that instant exhale when you walk in—like you’ve arrived somewhere safe after a long journey. It’s clean, thoughtfully arranged, and full of little details that make it feel personal rather than staged.
But what...
First time in kinosaki and this place checked every box. Extremely clean and extremely great staff. The meals were excellent as well.
It’s a small resort with only a small amount of rooms but our room had a river side window that was wonderful in the morning. For anyone worried about noise the whole town is very quiet so it’s not an issue at all.
The resort has 2 private onsens and what’s really nice is lights throughout the hotel show if it’s opened or not so you don’t have to go all the...
Such wonderful hosts and a great location! We had a great time going from onsen to onsen and stopping at the snack bar across the road before retiring for the night.
The property is at a very convenient location where we can easily walk to the department store and super market across the street. The condition of the hotel is very new, and they provide a microwave and free tea and coffee at the community area for everyone to use.
This was an amazing hotel. We had access to the really amazing, clean and not very populated public onsen with access to hot & cold pools, showers and sauna. Food was amazing too. We really loved it and will be back.
The experience is amazing. The service is superb. After choosing your bath robe, the lady actually walk us up to our room and explain everything, including helping my wife to wear her yukata. The hotel looks a little dated but extremely clean and neat. Room is comfy. The in house onsen is excellent as well. When we get off at train station, there's free shuttle to bring us the hotel. And we also offer free shuttle back to train station as well. Location is superb as well. Walking to all 7...
