"By Finnish standards, the reception was very friendly and helpful. After a noisy night in the city center it was nice to come to the middle of peaceful nature and a quiet hotel where you could sleep well. I was surprised, however, that in a hotel of this level the double bed was quite lousy. In the morning there was a typical somehow average Finnish breakfast with bread and coffee without any specialities. In the future i will consider this hotel when training in Helsinki. "

"This was a very new hotel located a few metro/subway stops from downtown Helsinki (and a 5 min walk from the nearest subway station). Its located in an area that is primarily businesses and the nearby Aalto University facilities, so a pretty quiet location. Since it was new, all facilities where in mint condition. Staff was very friendly."

"Modest and decent space to stay in casual/business needs when you just need to sleep with low budget. Bring your own grub and drinks, there are no kiosks or shops nearby but fridge in the room and kitchen available. All Day Breakfast etc. can be found at the Heymo hotel nearby. B-building is well hidden, hope they put some signs over there. And do not expect any frills :-) ."

"We had a fantastic stay at Backby Manor with our family. The spa area was great for both kids and adults: a warm pool, plenty of floats, jacuzzi, cold plunge, separate sauna areas and a steam sauna. Everything was clean and relaxing. The room was very tidy and comfortable. The manor restaurant was beautiful and the food was excellent. The location is peaceful with nearby nature trails. Easy free parking. The nearby Espoo car museum is also worth visiting. Our kids loved it and we’ll...

"Great base for working at Aalto University. I stay here regularly for work trips and keep coming back. The studio has everything you need — kitchen with full-size fridge and stove, good shower, quiet room. You can actually live and work here, not just sleep. K-Market right downstairs so you can stock your kitchen the moment you arrive. Sauna and gym are a nice bonus after a long day. Walking distance to Aalto campus. Best value hotel I've found in the Helsinki area."

"I really love staying at this hotel. I frequently travel to Espoo and i enjoy my stay there. breakfast is reelly good and worth it. a mall with supermarkets, bars etc is right next to the hotel, public transportation and restaurants are nearby. sauna could be bigger and men and women are separated in the sauna which can be a plus if you travel alone especially as a women, but negative if you travel with your partner."
