"Good hotel if you're just looking for a place to sleep, since you’ll probably be out exploring most of the time. It’s not a 5-star property, but it does the job for a night or two. Staff were friendly and the location is spot on — about a 10–15 minute walk to the lake and the center of Thun. Parking is available right next to the hotel and it’s affordable, but make sure to have some Swiss Franc coins on you."

A minor problem about the bathroom was that the blind could not be wound down, as the mechanism was broken, and although the window was opaque glass, with the light on we felt a little exposed. "Panoramic view of the lake from room 204 though the room layout was a bit awkward. No bedside table on one side of the bed. Unfortunately no air conditioning in the recent heatwave but supplied with a large fan. Note that the hotel is alcohol free so no sitting on the terrace with a cool beer in the evening."
