Country Encounters
10/10 Excellent
"An absolutely lovely place to stay and check out the local towns. The place itself is very cute, the rooms were well done and a queen was plenty for me and my partner, although I would have taken the bigger room had it been available just to check it out. The price was super reasonable considering other nearby hotel prices. The owners were super friendly and knowledgeable about the local area. Ended up doing the mine tour, visitors center, checking out the miners path 'hike' and visiting lots of local restaurants as well as the Coleman museum, all of which were super close by. Breakfast was delicious every morning and fresh made, beat any chain hotel breakfast. Loki (their dog) was a welcome addition and very well trained, it was super fun to play some tug of war and watch as he caught treats off his nose. The fresh baked cookies were a very nice touch and were great for a quick snack. Although I didn't end up eating there for dinner it was offered, and if I ever stayed again I would take them up on it. It was also very close to the river, and had me wishing I brought my fishing rod as I saw others walking up with theirs. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking to stay in the Coleman area, and would stay again myself in the future!"
