The property was older but indeed very clean and tidy! The building itself was clean and the pavement was even. They were doing renovations at this time but they made sure that it was out of the customers way which was considerate. The guy that helped me get checked in was polite and helpful!
The room was nice and clean, as well. No weird smells. The bathroom was simple. Towels were free of mysterious stains and hair as you would find at many hotels surprisingly... A shower mat was offered...
The check-in process was quick and the staff was very friendly and professional. Our room was clean and the temperature in the room was right where we wanted it to be. The breakfast far exceeded our expectations and was amazing. The staff member that was in charge of the breakfast was friendly and he offered to make us things that they were out of even though it was close to the end of breakfast. He also apologized for things taking a bit to be refilled/restocked as he was the only one working...
This place is 110+ years old and really a delight to stay in because they haven't changed things very much. Gives you a snapshot of how hotels operated a century ago.
What a wonderful little place. It’s a farm tucked off the main road. We had been at Mary Hill Museum earlier in the day and were on our way to Bend, Oregon. It was a great overnight. The room was spacious and clean. Very comfortable. Relaxing. The hosts were welcoming, and accommodating. Highly recommend. If you were looking for a place to get away for a few day with peace and quiet, surrounded by nature. Along with some farm animals, love the goats, this would be a wonderful place to stay.
We felt welcomed from the time we walked in the door. All the staff was very friendly and very informative when asking about places to dine. Great continental breakfast. And all in a reasonable rate. Highly recommend

Location location. This property has such an outstanding view of river, dam, city scape and sunset that it becomes a destination in itself. Comfort bed in nice room with said view. Small breakfast nook with standard continental breakfast fare. Outside seating area with great views. Driveway potholed and jarring. This likely keeps speeds down to the benefit of the homes along the down hill side
When I arrived, I had the easiest check and I’ve ever had at any place. I’ve stayed overnight. Room was clean and neat but someday they will want to update a few things. Terrific value for the room.
We loved the isolation and to be able to disconnect from our busy lives. It was very quiet and peaceful. You don’t notice your neighbors and everyone is very respectful of each other. The views of Mt. Adams were awesome. We explored the area and did some hikes. We cooked breakfast and dinner over the fire every day and enjoyed s’mores every night. There are not a lot of dining options in the area but if you are there for isolation, peace and quiet, and time in nature then it is a great...
