Top neighborhoods in Windsor

Windsor City Centre
Windsor City Centre wraps you in centuries of royal charm, with cobblestone streets winding past the majestic Windsor Castle. Catch the colorful pageantry of the Changing of the Guard or wander along the Thames Path for stunning river views. The historic Guildhall and St. George's Chapel offer glimpses into Britain's royal heritage, while independent shops line pedestrianized streets. Traditional British pubs serve hearty comfort food alongside local ales, with tea rooms offering the quintessential afternoon tea experience. Two train stations connect you easily to London, while the compact center makes exploring on foot a breeze. Accommodation ranges from cozy B&Bs to elegant hotels with royal-inspired touches.

Eton
Step into Eton's charming medieval streets where history lives in every cobblestone. Wander past Gothic Eton College where black-tailcoated students bring centuries-old traditions to life. The historic High Street offers Tudor-style shops and boutiques selling college memorabilia. Cross Eton Bridge for stunning views of Windsor Castle rising majestically across the Thames. Traditional British pubs serve hearty fare while quaint tea rooms offer classic afternoon experiences. Most accommodations are historic coaching inns and boutique B&Bs with period charm. The compact village is best explored on foot with riverside paths perfect for scenic Thames walks.

Park
The Park neighborhood in Windsor puts you right in the heart of family adventure, where Legoland's colorful excitement meets charming residential streets that'll have the kids plotting their next theme park conquest. This lively area features comfortable homes and vacation rentals that make you practically neighbors with some of the UK's most thrilling rides and attractions. Pack your sense of adventure (and maybe some snacks) since you'll be living the Legoland dream just steps from your front door. Windsor town center's pubs and restaurants are a short drive away for when you need proper grown-up food. The neighborhood buzzes with excited families planning castle visits and roller coaster marathons - it's impossible not to get caught up in the magic.

Old Windsor
Old Windsor whisks you back through time with its Saxon origins and medieval lanes winding toward Windsor Great Park. St. Peter and St. Andrew's Church stands as the crown jewel, its ancient stones telling tales centuries old. The Thames Path reveals peaceful riverside scenery perfect for afternoon strolls through this authentic slice of English countryside. Traditional pubs serve hearty fare and local ales in cozy centuries-old settings. Charming bed & breakfasts in historic cottages offer intimate stays with personal touches. Though public transport is limited, the village's quiet lanes are ideal for walking and cycling adventures.

Clewer East
Clewer East gives you that elusive glimpse of everyday British life most tourists miss. This peaceful residential pocket sits just a 15-minute stroll from Windsor Castle, with Victorian brick homes lining leafy streets. Historic parish churches dot the neighborhood, offering quiet moments away from the royal buzz. Wander to nearby Home Park or follow paths along the Thames for a breath of fresh air. Local pubs and small cafes provide cozy spots to chat with residents over a pint or cream tea. Most visitors stay in charming bed and breakfasts tucked into converted Victorian homes. Getting around is simple with local buses connecting to Windsor's center, or enjoy the pleasant walk to major attractions.

Cavendish House
"A few hiccups with the check-in- but it was very quickly resolved, and communication with the owner was great. The apartment was in a great position and even though it was overlooking the Weatherspoons terrace, it did not disturb our nights sleep at all. The apartment had pretty much all you need, and it is very central. Parking was great. So may decent cafe's and restaurants in the vicinity, we will definitely be back and wouldn't hesitate to stop at Cavendish house again."
Willow Court Farm
"What a fabulous stay! So unique and with so few guests staying at one time it really felt like a personised experience. With access to the animals all day and night we were able to feed the goats right up until bedtime. Collecting your eggs for brekkie was also so fun to show the kids and also tasty! We stayed for my sons 4th birthday and when we arrived a little gift and cake was there waiting, it really made the stay so special. What a great stay and experience."
