We stayed here for 3 days & were very happy with the lovely accommodations. The room was charming & spotless & the breakfast buffet with homemade goodies was very nice. The property was beautiful with flowers everywhere & even the animals were sweet! It was a pleasure talking with the proprietors & we learned a lot about the area.
The breakfast there is amazing ! Love the pool ! Love the friendly people at the front. Desk ! Room is simple but clean and the bedding smelled so good loved it
We stayed here for our daughter's field hockey tournament at Spooky Nook, 24 minutes away. Beautiful farm country and the cabooses converted to motel rooms were so cool! I noticed they were in the process of updating the interiors of some of the cabooses, ours was a little bit in need of attention but it was minor cosmetic. Everything worked the way it should and the beds were very comfortable. Loved the restaurant (dining car theme!) and the service, at breakfast they went out of their way to...
Room was clean. Breakfast was good with enough options for everyone. Good orange juice, not watered down. The guy restocking the buffet, I think his name was Chad, was really hustling to keep everyone happy. Front desk help was pleasant and helpful. Indoor pool was nice. Could be a little warmer. We would stay here again in the future. Price for the weekend was better than others in the area.
It’s a lovely old hotel. I’ve driven by a few times and always wondered what it was like inside. It didn’t disappoint!
Beautiful old floors and woodwork. Nothing cookie cutter.
The bar is gorgeous, but the sound did not penetrate-even with a band playing.
Room was clean, plenty of towels and temperature control was quick to change, so very comfortable
If you like old buildings this is for you
Only one word of caution. You do have to carry your bag up a staircase, so don’t overpack!
The hotel sits on one of the higher points in the area, and it is quite a view from the parking lot alone. Upon arrival, the staff was friendly and courteous. Most questions were answered as I was checking in. The room was clean and comfortable, and the entire facility was clean. Coffee was on in the lobby 24/7!
I was in town for an afternoon wedding, so I didn't need to leave the hotel until after noon. Check out is at 11. The clerk at the front desk said we were welcome to stay until...
Recently stayed at Tru - a Hilton property. My husband and I are diamond members but I did not use those perks or credentials on this trip. The last Hilton we stayed at ALSO Had the issue of having no top sheet on the bed. during the night if you get too warm, you have to kick off all the covers and have no sheet ! : ( Not sure If this is the latest design trend or just a cost cutting move, but from here out, Will be calling before we make reservations to find out if the beds have full sets of...
Lovely place to stay for 3 nights when I had to work long days for a big project. It was great to stay at a place owned by locals, not part of a chain. Other reviewers have stated some of the very nice basics (clean, quiet, very nice staff) so will focus on other areas:
Stayed on the 2nd floor and shower was hot and fast with very good pressure. Big points for that. Beds were comfortable but I am glad I brought my own weighted blanket for my own comfort- that's a personal choice. My room...
The facility is well designed. It could use a bit more tlc when it comes to the rooms trimmings. The doors in particular are old and very worn. They have been poorly repaired over the years and the paint on them appears to be done by amateurs. There was also a problem with the stopper in the sink. It was missing completely.
Other than these very obvious things the room was cleaned immaculately and everything else was in very good condition. The room and hotel was quiet and the bed was...
