"Clean room and friendly service. "

" Friday 20 March 2026. Motel 6, Bryan (College Station, TX). Attendant front counter said $60 cash deposit required- 3 times. Seemed odd, emphasis on “cash”, especially after cashless payment is the norm. Gave a key and sent me to inspect the room. Returned and gave debit card for security deposit , but attendant demanded drivers license. I gave my military ID, but was unacceptable. Gave wife’s driver’s license instead. Repeated $60 cash deposit for damages. Again, surrended my debit card and it was refused. CASH meant PAPER money. I said, “Fine, please issue a receipt stating room refused for failure to pay paper $60 security deposit.” I can send to Expedia to refute charges for prepaid room. Wife and I sat down in the lobby trying contact Expedia support. Counter attendant refused to issue receipt for prepaid room, called police and told is to leave property. Suspect property is claiming room damage after renter inspects the room and keeping tracerless paper cash security deposits. "

"Housekeeping was not daily, trash was overflowing at the elevators"

"Most of the staff was very friendly & helpful. The bar doesn't display the alcohol bottles so customers don't realize the bar serves it. Our bartender needs training on hospitality associated with customer service. Being more attentive to the customers & not sitting in a booth on their phone. They should at least try to show they are happy to be there. Parts of the hotel appears to be under construction. The ceiling was exposed concrete & you could see the electrical conduit. The light fixtures were ceramic fixtures normally used in closets. The lights had metal guards normally used in construction areas."

"Pillow had lots of visible hair (not mine) on it and I noticed it as soon as I got into the room. The front desk staff was apologetic and provided me with new pillows. I checked in at night so it seemed that maybe housekeeping had left for the day already and I was asked to go to the lobby to receive the replacement pillows. I was only there for 1 night and just needed some rest but i couldn’t help but wonder if the rest of the linens were clean/changed or not. Breakfast was what one could expect from a budget line hotel. Spongy waffles, pebble-like scrambled eggs, breakfast sausage, a few cereals and watery coffee, but hey, it’s an included breakfast at a La Quinta not a pay per meal at a Westin."

"The location was good and the hotel had interesting decor and design. All staff that we came in contact with were very nice. Be aware that the pet fee is $75 per pet. So we spent $150 for 1 night 2 small potty trained non shedding dogs. We got room service and the meal was very good. They also added a "destination fee" of $18 Per room. I guess for the pool that we did not use. I always think it is shady when these fees are not just listed as part of the price. "

"The building is old and the rooms are not updated. But the interior garden is beautiful and the BF is absolutely fabulous. Good value for the price. "
