Learn more about St. Simons Island
Ancient oaks drip with Spanish moss along streets where the pace slows to match the island's gentle tides. The St. Simons Lighthouse Museum offers panoramic views after climbing 129 steps to the top. Fort Frederica National Monument reveals colonial ruins where history feels surprisingly present. East Beach invites long walks where dolphins occasionally appear offshore. Neptune Park combines playground fun with ocean views that parents appreciate as much as children. The Bloody Marsh Battle Site commemorates a pivotal 1742 conflict with surprisingly little fanfare. Local seafood restaurants serve fresh catches that never see a freezer. Rent a bike to explore the island's hidden corners - the flat terrain makes two wheels the perfect transportation choice.

"Older hotel, rooms are clean but old. A fresh coat of paint and deep clean of bathroom fixtures would make a huge difference. Staff was the nicest people ever though. They made the difference. They were kind, accommodating, and helpful. I would stay there again because of the staff. The pool and outdoor area were also very nice - nicer than the rooms."
Sea Palms Resort St Simons Island
"The live music at the outdoor dining area by the pool made for a great dinner experience, and the Sunday brunch buffet was fantastic!"
Holiday Inn Express Saint Simons Island by IHG
"Peggy was amazing! She is super sweet and kept everything clean and tidy. I’ve stayed in many hotels but Peggy made this so enjoyable. All of the staff was excellent and our room was great as well."
Ocean Lodge Resort
"We enjoyed our visit. When we got there our room was not ready so they offered us free dinner and drinks on them! The restaurant on the second floor is a secret gem! The food was amazing and the service from Ryan was awesome. Ryan also helped us with getting someone to clean our room. Location was great! It was right across the street from the beach! Another secret gem was the other restaurant on the top floor where they have food and drinks and entertainment!"
Epworth By The Sea
"You need to experience for yourself. It's that great. 40 year returning customer. Just wonderful place. Make sure you put a needed prayer request in the chapel box."
