"I’ll start with the positives: the staff were friendly and the location is excellent—right next to Captain Zack’s, Island Creamery, and bike rentals. ​Unfortunately, we couldn't stay. We checked in at 11:00 PM for a two-night stay and immediately found significant hygiene issues in our room. The sheets had large yellow stains, visible hair, and concerning brown spots. Additionally, the exterior door appeared to have been kicked in previously, which raised safety concerns. ​We checked out within 30 minutes of arrival. While the staff offered a different room, we no longer felt comfortable staying at the property. We asked for a refund for the second night only, which was declined. Given that we didn't use the room and reported the issues immediately, we hope management would reconsider and provide a partial refund, but unfortunately not. I see a lot of other reviews saying how clean the property is. That unfortunately was not our experience."

"It was a typical no frills hotel. The room was clean and somewhat updated. The property was being upgraded and maintained. No breakfast, just coffee and tea. Lobby was clean. Staff reasonably nice."

"We were supposed to stay for two days, we only stayed for thirty minutes. They didn’t refund me for the second that I didn’t stay. The toilet wouldn’t flush, our room is near the front, there was no privacy."

"The staff was very friendly and accommodating, and the room was spacious and clean. The balconies have a pretty waterfront view. You can walk right out on the nearby pier and sit by the water. For a simple breakfast they offer eggs, sausage, and waffles, with coffee and orange juice. I would recommend the Waterside Inn!"
