"I arrived quite late but there were no problems with check in and they pointed me in the right direction if restaurants that might still be open. For your money you get a huge bed in a bedroom, separate lounge with sofa bed should you need it, a bathroom, a small but adequate kitchen space and two closets. The rooms are clean, well furnished and large. The breakfast was solid with reasonable choice. The price was good as was the location so I’d definitely stay here again. "
"Booked a king suite while in the city for a special event. Arrived early (shortly after 3pm), and our room was not ready, the reason was the room had not yet been cleaned but that they were currently cleaning it. As check-in is 4pm, this was completely understandable. We were told that we would get a text shortly when the room was ready. We sat at a local restaurant until 3:50pm as the restaurant/bar in the hotel was not open. When we arrived back at the hotel, the staff had changed shifts and it was clear that we were never getting a text. The staff member that we spoke to next was not helpful and instead told us he didn’t know when or why our room wasn’t ready, and that it could be ‘a mechanical issue’. He also condescendingly informed us that the rooms ‘take two hours to clean’ (not our problem) and that ‘check-in is 4pm’ (this was at 3:54pm 🙄) and that someone would tell us when the room was ready. By 4:20we were worried as we had to get ready for our event by 5:30. We inquired again and a different employee (a manager) then told us that it wasn’t ready because the previous guests hadn’t checked out until 3pm (third reason we’d been given). We were told it should be ready by 4:45pm and given a coupon for a free appetizer (we ordered for later) and extra hour to check out the next day which we couldn’t use. Finally in the room by 5, late for our event and rushed to get ready. Comfortable and clean enough but won’t stay again. For $600/night I expect to check in on time. "
