My fiancee and I only stayed one night at Chateau de La Riviere, and I wish we had stayed longer. Communications with Alice, one of our hosts, were clear and easy. Upon arrival, we were told that we were the only ones staying that night! This made it feel like a fairy tale - a chateau all to ourselves! This bed and breakfast was wonderful. We only stayed one night but we would definitely return. Great location. Easy to walk to all the stores and restaurants. The hosts are so lovely. The breakfast was fabulous. The room has air conditioning! I highly recommend!

Stayed one night to explore Chartres Cathedral and couldn't have been happier with my stay. The hotel was a short walk from the train station and easy to find. The front desk staff were very helpful, from arranging for dinner to helping with the very European elevator (!) to storing my luggage the next morning. The location of the hotel couldn't be more convenient to the Chartres Cathedral, the main attraction in town. And the view of the Cathedral from the hotel is magnificent! Make sure to ask...

The host was very nice and spoke good English. Our room was cramped and somewhat dated. The toilet was separate from shower area and both doors had to be closed to navigate around the bed. Breakfast was great. There was a close-by restaurant where we had a dinner. It was really very nice for the price!
