My family (2 adults, 1 child) really enjoyed the beauty, tranquility, and rich culture and history of this part of the Douro Valley. Maria was a wonderful host, and she was especially helpful in finding a particular, fairly new viewpoint in the Douro Valley and just in providing helpful information for things to do and things to eat. We really want to come back when we choose to visit Portugal again in the future.

Fantastic...you can not be disappointed with this place... well taking care off. You can drive to an amazing restaurant for the night... effect for an couple on a romantic night

If traveling by car, this is a splendid place to stay in the Duro Valley. Staff and room were very nice. A wonderful breakfast was included, which seems to be a vanishing practice in Europe these days. The hotel offers diner (not included) as well. The town of Tabuaco is quite small so dining options near by are limited. We would stay there again.

My husband and I only stayed one night here — we wish we could have stayed longer! Our comfortable room had a large terrace overlooking the Douro River, there is a nice swimming pool on the property and the views are beautiful! The included breakfast was delicious and substantial, and the dinner we had there was quite good. This is a family-owned place and the owner’s son Paolo, who is the manager, was very welcoming and kind. We would return!

The hotel was absolutely fantastic, with fresh, delicious food and an incredible experience! The host even collected eggs from the chicken nest, and we explored their stunning vineyards. Last minute spontaneous stop turned into an epic surprise at this gem of a B&B.

This is a nice boutique hotel in the center city of Lamaga. The room was large, clean, nicely appointed, and the bed was very comfortable. We didn't avail ourselves of the spa tub in the room but it is certainly a nice feature. The rooftop pool is inviting and there is an adjacent bar/lounge area. The restaurant features a varied menu and the food was tasty and well prepared. The morning breakfast buffet was generous and nicely presented. We had a very nice stay here. The property is small, so it is quiet (I believe only a total of 4 rooms). The views from the property are immaculate. There are such pretty views of the duoro river. In the morning, a homemade breakfast of eggs, meats, and fresh fruits is available. I will say that it is not possible to walk from the property to any restaurants or wineries, but taxis seems to be readily available. Overall, we had a wonderful stay

We stayed at the Quinta S. Bernardo in late September and we can’t say enough about this property! The property is just beautiful with a stunning view of the Douro River and surrounded by the vineyards. The Quinta is family owned and lovingly and beautifully designed and decorated. Beautiful setting and room! Would love to return!

One of our favorite hotel experiences ever!! The hotel itself is understated luxury with subtle mid century decor and elements. The pool and spa with additional indoor pool, steam room, sauna, and gym were beautiful and really were a huge perk. The included breakfast was delicious, and the staff were incredibly kind and courteous. We can’t wait to visit again. Also, the wine that comes from the hotel’s vineyard was the best red wine we had on our trip. You won’t be disappointed staying here!...

Everything about this property felt special—from the stunning location and breathtaking views to the serene atmosphere, charming rooms, and outstanding amenities like the pool, hot tub, and sauna. It’s truly the most beautiful place I’ve stayed in Portugal. The owners, Paul and his wife, were incredibly welcoming, helpful, and full of local knowledge, which made the experience even more memorable. I can’t recommend this place enough—it’s the most peaceful retreat you could hope for.

The staff was very helpful and attentive. The hotel is gorgeous. Our room was very quiet. The hotel is right in the center of regua, so it's very convenient. The breakfast was excellent as well.
