Always love this location. Very convenient for our trips to Vt. Cell service in general is spotty. I really rely on the WiFi. That needs to be better in this hotel. It was not working while I was there.
I can’t sing highly enough the praises of this lovely inn. The setting is beautiful and incredibly peaceful, the breakfast was fabulous, and the inn keepers beyond lovely. We stayed in the farmhouse and it was so spacious and well maintained and appointed. The only problem was having to leave at the end! We can’t wait to return.
Our group of four ladies had an excellent time at the historic Stone Hearth Inn. We stayed in a lovely room with 4 single beds. They were very accommodating, including a late check-in and breakfast. Breakfast included homemade bread and other fresh food in a beautiful setting overlooking the lush backyard. It is a family run operation. We were checked in and served breakfast by Vicki, because her son Edward , daughter Georgia and son-in-law Conner were all working at the local Chester...
Loved the place, it’s old so full of charm and perhaps not so easy, stairs, rumpled flooring but I like such places. Had dinner which was very good, has a nice little pub as well. Everyone I encountered was pleasant.
The property is very well maintained and decorated. The room and bathroom are very clean. It has two very nice common area with 2 big windows that made them bright and sunny and cozy. It's also along a major highway so it's easy to find.
The owners/operators of this hotel are very kind, thoughtful and accomodating to the needs of their guests. I especially and directly experienced their wonderful hospitality as a disabled person in a wheelchair. When I inquired about the accessibility of...
Super cozy and cute place to stay. The owners are super sweet and helpful. The location is great if you plan on hitting Magic Mountain and is only ~2.5 miles to Londonderry. Definitely plan on staying here again.
I had a very comfortable stay. No complaints.
Many great cable TV channels, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, My room had a river view (pictured).
My husband and I stayed in the Oak Room, beautiful beams and wide plank wood floors, gas fireplace, such a lovely room. For the practical aspect there were plenty of outlets, comfortable bed, very clean room and a modern, roomy well appointed bathroom. Super nice staff, welcoming common areas and ample outdoor space. Wonderful location in Green Mountains, so many scenic drives and sweet little towns to explore. 10/10 would recommend!
This is the second time we've stayed in a Suite room. King sized bed in the BR; kitchen with full-sized appliances, LR with pull-out Queen sofa, gas fireplace, bathroom with jetted tub! Very comfortable and fully equipped. Small things were so helpful - like doormats for dirty boots, a bench for putting on boots, a closet for skis, complementary packages of New England coffee, Aveda products in the bathroom, kitchen supplies like dish soap, dishwasher detergent, sponge, towels. Then larger...
Five stars for ambience, comfort, cleanliness. Very cozy common area and bar. Location is beautiful. Staff friendly.
I rated medium for condition as the place is old and clearly gets well used during ski season. HOWEVER, this is not ugly or bad as in a gross motel with broken stuff and dirt. The room was clean and nice and smelled fine, but the carpets were well worn and there is a lot of wear to the place in general. I did not want to leave too many stars on condition and have folks...
