"No amenities not even a water boiler or coffee maker in the room for almost $200/night. I think it is partially my own fault - if I had noticed there was no water boiler/coffeeee maker in the room, I would not have chosen this hotel. I've thought it's essential - but NO. Yes, you could get free coffee or tea from the bar - but you need to join some membership and it's A LOT trouble to do so - especially when it's busy time, you have to wait in the line. Besides, they only clean the room every 5 days for free - which means if you are not stay more than 5 days, there is no room service for that.
Otherwise it's a very good location for shopping and travelling around. The room is clean and staff is friendly."
"Checking in was a nightmare. The property sent messages in Norwegian, with no translation available. When I messaged asking for check in details in English, they just resent the information in Norwegian. The check-in code was located one layer down in a message I couldn’t understand. I basically had to just click a button and hope for the best. The check-in code should have been prominently displayed at the top of the message."
"The hotel was exactly as expected. A quick stay by the airport only a 5 easy minute walk away. Check in was easy even with the Norwegian hospitality strike (might be over if you’re reading this, did not effect this hotel much in the time it is going on). Rooms were only slight smaller than other airport hotels we’ve stayed at, but exactly what we needed. Seemed like the hotel had lots of entertainment like a pool table, board games, and a lot of social spaces. Breakfast had lots of variety and was quite delicious. Seemed like the air in the room wasn’t able to cool it down, which is standard for most European countries, had to keep our window open to cool down on a warmer Bergen day. Blackout curtains worked well. No conditioner, only a shampoo/body wash hybrid. Great for a one day stop and easy to walk to the tram to get to the city center."
"The hotel is extremely large snd well located. Our room was comfortable but there was no desk which we missed. The breakfasts were copious but there were so many people eating at the same time that it was not relaxing. Parking was available but it was extremely costly.
The hotel is appropriate for conventions but for pure vacations I would stay elsewhere in Oslo."
"Excellent hotel, but pool was closed but no communication on booking on our visit. The reason we booked was because of the central location & pool, a bit disappointing"
"Small double room suitable for 1 person, although didn't spend much time at the hotel. Breakfast offered a good selection of hot & cold food & drinks. Although the hotel encourages you to check in & out online or at screen in the hotel, it was much nicer to talk to the staff. Would have been nice to have a kettle in the room to make a hot drink after a long day out exploring Oslo. The hotel is a 20 minute walk from Oslo Central Station & a 5 minute walk to the royal palace."
"This was such a nice treat after our Norway adventure through small towns with small showers! The room was spacious and well-laid out. Even with the couch having to be opened for our son, it was still comfortable. Also plenty of surfaces to open luggage, tons of hooks for coats, and enough shelves for us to be able to be comfortable and not constantly opening and closing luggage in one spot. The bathroom was equally comfortable with a wonderful shower with enough space to wash your feet without having to do fancy contorsions - and again plenty of shelf space to lay out and open three toiletry bags easily. While we did not do the breakfast, I took a peek and it looked plentiful and wonderful - this is one thing that most Scandinavian hotels can claim - a wonderful, balanced, healthy and plentiful breakfast spread - and this hotel doesn't seem to fall short. The location is perfect - right in the middle of all of it - a quick walk from the ferry stop, and a quick walk from the metro stop, as well as close to all the tourist spots. Finally - it was wonderfully clean and well-maintained. All in all: highly recommend!"
