"Excellent hotel, very friendly very helpful, wonderful amenities, and fabulous views of Lake Windermere. Particularly would like to thank the bar staff for a great sense of humour made this day very enjoyable. Dave and Val Mulvey."
"Perfect location with a stunning view. The hotel itself was lovely. All staff were very friendly and helpful, a special thank you to Joy who was just wonderful. We would love to return to this hotel and highly recommend."
"Disappointed with room service, new biscuits put into dirty mugs ! No new tea/coffee and bin left in front of bed. Rushed job ? However, massive plus was staff attitude in dining room, dinner and breakfast excellent."
"In all my years (85 yrs old) of travelling I have never come across a more cheerful, caring set of staff than those five lovely folk serving brekky here in this hotel. A pleasure to watch them at work...thank you."
"For a 3 star hotel this ticks all the boxes great value excellent breakfast and a lovely set dinner menu that changes daily. Lovely friendly but professional staff and quiet location but still less than a 5 minute walk to town. You do need to book for dinner as this is a very popular restaurant. If I could find one fault it would be on a personal opinion only and that is that dinner service is to quick between courses but that’s because I like each course to go down before the next is served. But fantastic service and we will definitely be returning."
"Absolutely loved our stay. The hotel is lovely, the spa is amazing, definitely worth booking in for the full spa 3 hours, the food is good but to be honest it’s the staff that make it. Such a lovely bunch!"
"I'd particularly like to thank Sharon at the reception desk > she was so helpful on arrival and very pleasant.
The parking was easy and the room was spotless, even the breakfast was very nice.
We actually stayed about 8 years ago as well. A place I will come back to if we were staying in the Lake District again."
