Location is by the Kamo river delta. Lots of fine restaurants around which the concierge booked for us on short notice. Michelin one and two star dinners. Well done. Suite was amazingly quiet, top floor with superb views. Staff was consistently there for us and granted every wish. Full kitchen, microwave and washer dryer. Hopsitality staff took care of everything. Thank you very much.

A truly exceptional and unique hotel experience in the heart of Higashiyama. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a special place to stay while in Kyoto.
A worthwhile destination in its own right, and absolutely wonderful hospitality and service.

I have stayed at some of the best hotels in the world, and I must say I was happily blown away by this Hyatt in Kyoto. Although it has the corporate name, it feels like it's own independent boutique hotel, definitely the most unique Hyatt. The staff are wonderful - friendly, eager to help book reservations, helpful and warm. The location is walking distance to nearby shrines and about 15 minutes from the maze streets of Gion. The rooms are quiet, clean and well designed, with a wonderful shower...

They are renovating this wonderful gem to celebrate its 130th anniversary in 2020 to coincide with the Olympics. I was lucky to stay in a room newly renovated and it was wonderfully beautiful right down to the state of the art Toto bathroom fixtures.

We made a last-minute pivot in our Japan travel plans and decided to spend one night in Osaka, and we are so glad we picked the Waldorf Astoria Osaka (we literally booked it the same day).
This was one of the nicest hotels of our entire stay in Japan. Brand new, great location near Osaka Station, and beautifully designed throughout. Our room was extremely large and elegant, with an amazing bathroom, excellent amenities, and outstanding attention to detail, including high-quality robes and...
