"I highly recommend staying at the Ameron Hotel in Schwangau. The hotel is beautiful, modern, and exceptionally spacious. It is conveniently located near the two castles, as well as numerous shops and restaurants. The entire front desk staff was friendly, helpful, and accommodating, making our stay even more enjoyable. The two-day experience was magical. Our room had two balconies and these were facing Lake Alpsee."
"Good location, good bed, shower, parking. Nice breakfast. Nice balcony and good size room and bathroom. The listing on Expedia said it had air conditioning which is why we booked but it doesn’t so that was disappointing."
"On the whole the hotel was clean snd well located for walking around the charming little town of Fussen. Breakfast is reputedly great but very expensive so we passed on it. The Alt Stadt (old town) starys literally across the street and has a totally pedestrian walking area with many restaurants etc.
Our main criticism as of the parking. If you arrive with a car they don't have a lot of parking spots behind the hotel....no surprise as Fussen is a busy town with the three local castles. Our complaint was because they told us twice at the check in that their lot was full (it was 5 pm so no surprise there) but that we coupd park instead at a nearby commercial lot and they would reumburse us. The lot turned to be considerably further away than they told us and next morning the person on the front desk refused to reimburse us for the expense and hassle of the offsite parking.....very unprofessional we thought."
"The room was small, but well furnished with a comfortable bed and pillows. Walking paths around the lake were close by. Dinner options were good. Breakfast was a bit expensive, but the offerings of local cheeses and meats were excellent. This hotel is located near barns, agricultural fields, and live stock, thus, there is an aroma of manure dominating the outside air. It was very much like a farm-stay."
