"We stayed in a very nice cottage next to the Mayfield. It was very clean and modern looking in the bathrooms. There are very large beds in both rooms , each having a bathroom, very convenient. The distance from Scarborough is about 10 minutes drive right to the seafront. The reception staff are efficient and curteous. Lots of parking out front too. "

"Lovely hotel with old school charm and wonderful helpful staff. Very dog friendly and made our dog very welcome with treats and even breakfast sausage. The breakfast was outstanding being freshly cooked with high quality produce. A really thoughtful touch was the offer of tableware to enjoy a takeaway in the room (and enjoy the view) which again was really dog friendly as it can be hard finding eateries that welcome dogs. "Loved this Hotel! The staff were all charming. Location is very attractive. Room was spacious and comfortable. Great to be able to buy residents parking ticket, as parking in Scarborough can be tricky and it meant we could park with view of our car from our room. Breakfast can be highly recommended. Excellent choice cooked to order. Great choice of fruit juices, buffet selection etc. Would very happily return!"

"We enjoyed our stay at crown spa hotel and also for the fact that it’s just a stone throw to the beach. The room was clean and serviced every morning, staff were really approachable and helpful whenever we needed support. We used the pool and the site was clean as well. I would definitely recommend."

"I think the hotel is either new or newly run as they seem to be finding their feet. Check-in was 3pm to 4pm and when I called to say I might be around 6:30, I was told "it's only hour and a half from Manchester" and "there might not be anyone here after 5pm". It felt a bit abrupt in all honesty but when I arrived around 5:30 (Friday school holiday traffic), they were pleasant enough. Breakfast starts at 10:30 to 11:30 which is very late and checkout is 10am. Weird timings, hence my theory they...
