Hotels in Defiance

Don't much care for St. Louis, but this was a very nice hotel.

The staff at the front desk were very friendly! They made cookies in the evening and had coffee, tea, and hot chocolate available. Our grandkids had fun at the pool also. We would stay here again. Lots of places to eat or drink nearby too! Friendly and helpful bilingual staff, very clean bedding!

It was in a great location and very nice.

We were pleasantly surprised. One of the best rooms we’ve been in on our round-trip roadtrip from the west coast to Ohio. The beds were comfortable, pillows were great; we appreciated the bedbug and waterproof covers on the mattresses. Everything seemed clean, the sink had nice counter space; nice table & chairs, area for clothes and luggage; fridge & microwave. It’s the only place we’ve been on this trip that had hot breakfast options, which was nice for getting the morning started off right....

My room was nice, it had a hot shower and was very clean. Also, nice indoor pool, well lit parking lot and decent free breakfast. I have stayed here for several overnight trips and will continue to do so.

My stay was pleasant and the staff very helpful. I needed to stay an extra day and was helped by staff to make it an easy process.

The private bar was beautiful but very limited to snacks and out of one item completely I didnt like the rooms were all exterior doors. Room was very nice and very clean I felt safe there. Just didnt like the feel of motel motor inn

Booked last minute for a great price. Nice, quiet, secluded area for the hotel.

The motel was excellent and convenient with courteous staff and clean. The one downfall was the road markings were not clear and the signage leading to it did not seem to exist. We passed up the turn in once and it was in terrible rain storm so with no street lighting or well lit signs it made it more difficult to find, but glad we did!

Bbq restaurant next door which had great brisket at a reasonable price.

I came to the St. Louis area for a prospective job interview and selected Candlewood Suites due to their proximity to my interview and because of their rating. The room was well furnished for my stay. I did not use the refrigerator, microwave, 2-burner stove top or dishwasher but I am sure I would have if my stay had been longer. The queen size bed was comfortable and the pillows actually felt nice to sleep on (not too hard and not too soft). The staff was friendly. Now the but ... part. I had...

Clean and friendly staff. The beds where new but, I prefer a softer bed. We were there for only one night. Breakfast was good.
