"Beautiful hotel with luxurious spa! "

"We stayed in an apartment. I loved the property and its relaxed feel and location. Some lovely walks are available close by. The reception staff spoke good English and were very polite and helpful. They are very spacious, warm and clean, but very self contained. The bed was comfortable but pillow choice was limited. Kitchen was nice with 2 hot plates, no oven or frying pan. There is a dishwasher but no washing machine. Unfortunately the WiFi was not working and was not fixed during our stay....

"The first thing I have to mention is the excellent staff. Every one of them was polite, attentive and helpful and communicated well in spite of the language barrier. I didn’t speak a word of French but they did their best to communicate in English and they did a great job. Garden and City has lots of common spaces to hang around after a hard day of hiking. "Beautiful, old stone building. View from the front terrace and dining room is looking right at the Cirque de Gavarnie. Great access to hiking trails around this Cirque and also access to hikes into adjacent Cirques. The room was basic and dated, but clean and comfortable, nonetheless. A few oddities like no place to hang a towel, or the hall light didn't turn on when leaving the room (motion sensor was at the elevator end of the hall). Lydia was extremely warm and welcoming and fun to talk with....

"Difficult to find hotel from nearby in town. Lovely room, nice view from balcony, staff very friendly. Easy walk to centre ville. Only comment about room is shower curtain or barrier would be helpful, but otherwise room and b bathroom were lovely."
