"The dining and bar areas are like many other pubs but the food I had for dinner was excellent, especially the chicken tikka with homemade paratha. The bedroom/bed was very comfortable with a coffee machine, which was a nice bonus. The bathroom had a great shower and bath with really good pressure and lovely hot water! Would certainly consider staying here again"

"Everything at the hotel was amazing. The staff were all fantastic. The room was spacious and clean. However there was emergency gas works during the night which abruptly woke us up and we couldn't get back to sleep. Outwith the hotel’s control."

"Lovely stay at the Clarendon, absolutely faultless! Kenny was really welcoming, parking was easy and room was incredible!"

"Fantastic room, very clean. We had dinner and the menu had good choice, the food quality was excellent and also good value. We had several drinks in the bar which had a nice warm vibe to it. Breakfast was also very good. All the staff were very helpful, polite and smiley so we could not have asked for better overall."

"This hotel is a little dated on the outside but we were pleasantly surprised by the clean and newly refurbished interior. Comfortable beds, linens, clean bathrooms, and a hearty breakfast at the adjacent restaurant."

"Lovely quaint location. Cafe and bar were cozy and welcoming. Staff were lovely helpful and friendly. Very dog friendly too. Pizza made on site was the best ive ever tasted! Room was a little tired but comfortable. Could have been cleaner. But comfortable. The guest lounge was comfortable and well equipped. Clean fresh towels and bedding. Would recommend."

"Nice & clean & friendly staff & close to town"

"Excellent staff, very helpful and lovely attitude towards guests."

"Staff on arrival and check out were very pleasant and friendly. Our room was very nice. Shower excellent and great to have toiletries too. We had drinks in the bar and food in the restaurant which were great. Hotel very handy for the shops. We parked in the Olympian car park ( as we knew the hotel had limited parking) which was only a 5 minute walk from the hotel and only cost £8 from 5pm until 12 midday the next day. We would recommend and stay at the hotel again."
